WW2 Airbase at Daly Waters

Daly Waters started as a WW2 Air base.

This is the back of the old hanger you will see in the next photo.

This photo shows the same hanger as above when the airfield was in full use. Interesting to wander around in the old hanger as there was lots of information and photos.

This beautiful plane was parked in the hanger the morning we visited, thought George might like to see it.

The old quarters and ablution block, unable to go inside this compound as it is now a toxic dump for asbestos which has been buried in the area surrounding the building.
